Dr. Julie Bartholomew is the co-founder and chief innovation technology officer of RPG/IMX, a collaboration of innovators in retail design and beauty customization technology. A medical doctor and an award-winning entrepreneur, Bartholomew has been named an inventor on over 110 patent filings, resulting in over 75 granted patents.

In 2001, Bartholomew pioneered and successfully executed the first beauty artificial intelligence (AI) formulation program for the customization of nail polish at point-of-sale. Since then, she has built upon her initial insights and developed an AI platform to navigate the micro-personalization of beauty, health, and wellness products that is designed to be adapted to the retail space, as well as to be used in connection with the e-commerce revolution and Industry 4.0.

Bartholomew’s many accomplishments include the launch of the IMX Cosmetics’ proof-of-concepts into Nordstrom, Fred Segal and Barneys New York and being recognized by Crain’s Detroit Business as one of 2018’s Notable Women in Manufacturing.
