Radha Krishnan, president of Detroit Engineered Products (DEP), earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toledo. He worked at EASi Engineering and GM before founding DEP. DEP has over 170 employees in Michigan and 450 employees globally focused on advanced simulation technologies used by Global OEMs and supported by DEP’s MeshWorks engineering software platform.
Radha’s current responsibilities in the company include a focus on advanced simulation technologies and growing DEP’s expertise across multiple product lines and industries. Radha has a keen interest and focus on research and development aimed at reducing Mechanical design and product development cycle time. Invention and innovation remain key DNA characteristics of the company with the delivery of several unique products each year. DEP has sites in six countries and software partners throughout Europe, supporting the growth of DEP’s Engineering Services and MeshWorks software platform. This platform contains world class modules for CAD/CAE Morphing, Plastic and Sheet Metal Meshing, CAE Process Automation and Weld Optimization. DEP is celebrating its 20th anniversary and continues to expand in multiple major industries.
